Second Abu Dhabi Date Added for Michael Jackson Tribute Show This Is Michael

A touring tribute to Michael Jackson is heading back to the UAE capital, with promoters adding a fresh performance at Etihad Arena only months after the production packed out the venue.

This Is Michael will take the stage on Yas Island on Saturday, January 30, 2027. The announcement follows a full-capacity show on August 22, and organisers say the extra night was scheduled because demand for tickets outstripped what the first date could offer.

Live Nation Middle East is promoting the event in collaboration with Abu Dhabi’s Department of Culture and Tourism and Miral, which oversees much of Yas Island’s entertainment offering.

Performer Lenny Jay fronts the production, and his uncanny resemblance to the pop legend has become a major talking point among those who have seen it. The staging aims to capture the scale of Jackson’s arena-era spectacles, with the lead’s movement and styling closely modelled on the original.

The programme draws on the late singer’s most recognisable material, with tracks such as “Thriller,” “Billie Jean,” “Beat It” and “Don’t Stop ‘Til You Get Enough” among the numbers audiences can expect.

The booking also underlines the venue’s growing standing on the regional touring circuit, where it regularly hosts international headliners and large-format productions.

How to get tickets

Mastercard holders get first access through a presale starting at noon on Friday, October 30. The general public can buy from noon on Monday, November 2.

With the previous date selling out, those planning to attend may want to be ready when sales open.
