Natalie Portman: Where She Stands in 2026
Born Natalie Hershlag, Portman holds dual Israeli and American citizenship and studied psychology at Harvard. She became a star in Léon: The Professional as a child and grew into one of Hollywood’s most respected actresses. Her Best Actress win came for Black Swan, and she has also earned acclaim for Jackie and for her work as a producer and director.
In April 2026, she confirmed she is expecting her third child, her first with partner Tanguy Destable. She has two children from a previous marriage and now lives in Paris. She appeared on late-night television earlier in the year promoting her work.
Elton John: A Career of Retirement and Reinvention
Born Reginald Dwight, Elton John won a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music at age 11. He rose to fame in the 1970s with a string of hits and went on to sell hundreds of millions of records. His Farewell Yellow Brick Road tour ended with a final show in Stockholm on July 8, 2023, after more than five decades of live performance.
Off stage, he has been a leading figure in the fight against AIDS. Every year the Elton John AIDS Foundation hosts a well-known Oscars watch party, which attracts celebrity guests and raises millions of dollars. The 2025 edition featured Chappell Roan and raised more than $8.6 million. This autumn, a 50th anniversary edition of his album Rock of the Westies is scheduled for release.
Why Fans Link the Two
There are a few likely reasons the names appear together:
- Shared awards circuit. Both have won Oscars, so they overlap at the same ceremonies and charity events.
- Biopic connections. Elton John’s life was the subject of Rocketman, and Portman starred in Jackie, another well-known biographical drama. Fans who search for biopics may bundle the two.
- Charity events. Hollywood fundraisers regularly bring musicians and actors together.
- Search overlap. Search engines sometimes combine two famous names that appear on the same list or news page.
What to Watch For
If a joint project were announced, it would appear in official statements from representatives, studios, or the Elton John AIDS Foundation. Until then, treat any claim of a partnership as unverified.
Bottom Line
Natalie Portman and Elton John are two of entertainment’s biggest names, but no confirmed link between them exists. Fans who want to follow either can look to Portman’s upcoming projects and her new baby, and to John’s reissue schedule and charity work.
